Abrazo West Campus continues to enhance service lines which already include comprehensive orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, hand, cardiovascular with open-heart surgery, obstetrics, women's health, wound care with hyperbaric treatment and therapy as well as 24-hour emergency plus trauma care.
RN OR Team LeadPosition assumes a lead role for an assigned surgery services service line (Cardiovascular/Thoracic, General/Uro/Gyn/Robotics, Neuro, Trauma/Hand/Plastics, Ortho).
Provides professional nursing care within the intraoperative areas.
Covers pre-op/PACU as needed.
Position responsible for anticipating physician needs, maintaining preference cards, training new employees.
Liaises with Supply Chain Management/Environmental Services/Central Sterile Processing to ensure that the service line has sufficient supplies.
Scrubs/Circulates as needed.
Floats as required.
Liaises with Physician/Surgeon to understand physician preferences related to room setup, availability of supplies, operating environment, etc SPECIAL SKILLS:
Ability to operate in stressful situations, acts with diplomacy.
Learns physician preferences and applies knowledge to working environment.
CALL is required for this positionSUPERVISES:
Supervises other RNs in the assigned service line
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Associates Degree in Nursing PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing MINIMUM
Experience:
3 - 5 year of operating room experience PREFERRED
Experience:
5 years of operating room experience REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
Current RN license in the state of Arizona, or compact state.
