The Optometric Technician role is involved in the integral functions of the services we provide and is a great way to help patients and to gain core skills that inform all other roles in our practice.

As an added bonus, you'll have excellent coworkers! Initial duties include, but are not limited to:
Patient intake, including recording medical history, medications, surgical history, chief complaint, history of present illness, and review of systems Diagnostic and preliminary screening of patients Preparing examination summaries and reports to referring Doctors and facilitating in-office referrals to surgical and/or ophthalmological specialists.
Analyzing eyeglasses and documenting prescriptions via lensometry Answering phones, booking appointments and other general clerical and office duties Email, fax and electronic document management Assisting with dispensing eyewear and minor eyewear repairs Successful candidates must possess:
High confidence in basic math skills Excellent verbal communication skills and accuracy in written communication Very strong computer skills and experience with Windows/MS Office Professional demeanor and the ability to work well with team members Ability to pass a background check with flying colors Hours:
You'll typically work 5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday with shifts starting as early as 7:

and finishing as late as 5:
