The Vehicle Test Driver, under the direction of Lead Driver/Facility Coordinator, performs various driving test on new vehicle not yet available in the public market.
Tasks/Goal:
Drive assigned routes in accordance with all established procedures.
Perform multiple levels of vehicle testing.
Prepare accurate Drivers Reports and data downloads daily.
Able to prepare detailed reports using both tablets and written formats.
Able to use customer's Smartphone to access vehicle features.
Perform other related driving and vehicle preparation work as required.
Uphold company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift Contribute to a positive work environment and promote overall team effort.
Focus on meeting and exceeding Bertrandt and customer expectations.
Demonstrate a high level of skill, accuracy and cooperation in all responsibilities.
Exhibit a thorough understanding of Bertrandt and customer policies, procedures, visions, and values.
Ability to complete concise and accurate documentation.
Promote safety awareness and assure compliance with all safety practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education and work
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of four (4) years licensed driving experience.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Clean driving record and current valid driver's license with no more than one (1) violation in the past three (3) years.
Basic proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with smartphones required.
Knowledge of vehicle components, systems, and operating procedures are a plus.
Must be knowledgeable of new vehicle features.
Physical Demands:
Physically fit, able to sit for a long period of time; may require some weekend driving.
Ability to walk, sit, stand, use hands to grip and feel.
Clear peripheral and distance vision, able to see clearly before and after dark.
May be required to stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl and bend on occasion.
Able to lift no more than 25lbs.

Exposed to internal and external working conditions which can include, cold, wet, warm, or hot environments.
Exposed to medium to moderate noises.
