Human Resources Generalist

Kett Engineering is currently looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team at our customer location in Maricopa, AZ. This position supports all aspects of human resources services including recruiting, new employee orientation/on-boarding, employee training, policy administration, compliance and benefits. The ideal candidate for this position is versatile, flexible, self-motivated, tech savvy, emotionally intelligent, a good communicator and collaborator with strong recruiting skill/experience.
Essential Functions:
Recruiting -Receives job requisitions, discusses qualifications and pay rates associated with the position to research prospective candidates. Screens, interviews, checks references, and recommends candidates for employment in entry-level and experienced technical positions.
Schedules all pre-employment and periodic employee screening per company policy and customer requirement to include; background checks, drug screens, and physicals.
Conducts employee orientation, obtains all new hire, rehire or change paperwork; processes status, shift, pay change, or termination information.
Assist with the development and administration of company policies and procedures.
Creates and maintains job descriptions.
Hears and resolves employee grievances, and prepares related documentation.
Assists with managing Kett's benefit programs to include supporting annual open enrollment, and ACA compliance.
Assists Benefit Administrator and employees with insurance enrollments, benefit information distribution, and answers insurance related questions
Processes unemployment claims, requests for information, and verification of employment
Prepares various periodic HR reports.
Monitors, and issues employee safety, service, referral incentive programs.
Processes, schedules, and tracks employee training.
Performs additional duties as requested by management.
This position is privy to confidential information and as such, requires diplomacy and discretion. This role requires working with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment and initiative while maintaining confidentiality.
Education: Associates degree and/or at least four years of work experience with progressive levels of HR responsibilities and administrative experience required.
Skills/Experience: Proficient in MS Office - Word and Excel. Knowledge of HRIS- PAYCOM preferred. Must be versatile, flexible, self-motivated and tech-savvy, emotionally intelligent, good communicator and collaborator with strong recruiting skills/experience.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Job requires sitting, standing, and bending for approximately 6 - 8 hours on a daily basis. Must be able to handle daily pressures and stress-related conditions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
